Apple-y Joy

You know how you get all sidetracked and consumed by Pinterest?

Yeah. That website is, without a doubt, totally DANGEROUS. And addictive. And I seriously have to limit my time there…I keep feeling like I fell down the Rabbit Hole whenever I log in.

Wha? You TOO??

*wink*

Today I discovered that you can FREEZE APPLESAUCE and that Toddlers love it.

So I spooned some a-sauce into a ziploc, snipped the teeniest little bit of the corner off, and squeezed little puddles of applesauce onto a line baking sheet and whacked it into the freezer for an hour.

Just outta the freezer!

Just outta the freezer!

They were SO CUTE when they came out! All these little piles of frozen apple-y joy, sitting there looking all adorable and perky on the sheet. I couldn’t help but taste a few myself!

Piles of happy

Piles of happy

At first the babies were reticent to try them, but after the first tentative lick they were HOOKED. They ate an entire bag full!

Oh – words of advice: they defrost über fast. This pleases toddlers for some reason.

The upside is that when they melt, you will have a pile of applesauce to eat! *wink*

How To:

1- Line a small baking sheet with foil or parchment.

3- Shove the sheet into your freezer and walk away. Come back in about an hour and they should be frozen through. Taste, giggle, then start sharing with your toddlers.
