So, lately I’ve been going through an Asian phase, buying all kinds of tofu and mock-duck, innumerable sauces and spices. Where I get off the subway, there’s a good Asian market called JMart and I LOVE wandering the aisles there.
This cookbook is quirky, fun, easy to read, divided into sections that make sense.
Plus- this cookbook makes everything approachable. I totally feel capable of making Miso Soup, Okonomoki, Jap Chae, Lacquered Roast Chicken, Nuoc Cham, Pho.
I think THAT is pretty cool.
