Brunch at Bobby’s by Bobby Flay with Stephanie Banyas and Sally Jackson
Lately I’ve been interested in expanding the breakfast/brunch repertoire around here, so I nabbed the new Bobby Flay Brunch Cookbook with high hopes. It’s laid out nicely – starting with the cocktails!
There’s a section for pancakey-waffley things, another for egg-based dishes, and then there are the fruit focused plates. Pretty cool options – though most seem to necessitate having eggs, buttermilk or cream in the house. OF COURSE we were totally outta eggs when I decided to make breakfast on Sunday. I was gonna make his yummy sounding mushroom-potato hash, but took a last second detour and decided I needed to carb it up with some buttermilk biscuits.
GOOD CHOICE too. They were easy to make, delicious and the kids keep asking for more!
Note: they’re good on Day 2 and 3 so far as well.
I am enjoying this cookbook and think the recipes are easy enough for a beginner, but varied enough for a more seasoned home cook.
I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
