Koreatown – by Deuki Hong & Matt Rodbard

I love Korean food – but finding options for me to eat can be a little challenging, as I keep Kosher, meaning no shellfish, no non-kosher meat. As both of these feature HEAVILY in Korean cuisine, I figured that picking up a cookbook might help alleviate my cravings, as I would have the tools to create the dishes myself!

Alas, this is not the cookbook for me.

It’s pretty, it’s trendy, but I feel like it’s written for hipsters looking for something cool/trendy.

I don’t find it accessible. I find the recipes really complicated and have too many ingredients for the kind of time I’m able to dedicate to cooking.

I felt a total disconnect from this book…but then again, I am not the right target demographic.

I received Koreatown from Blogging for Books for this review.
